i'm on vacation

Snowboarding for 8 days in Colorado is definitely my idea of a relaxing time. Forget the beach, gimme the mountains and snow.


The Elwins planned everything and have been super fun. Those Aussies are a fun bunch.

an uptick in productivity

this past weekend

Bad for riding, good for getting work done inside. So we painted and painted and painted and then painted some more. We even cleaned the baseboards and mopped and vacuumed. Whew!

weekend tally:

1. 3 gallons of paint
2. 3 rollers
3. $27 in new brushes
4. 14 beers (consumed by two of us...i know what you were thinking)
5. 2 kitchen towels
6. 20 hours of painting
7. a roll of paper towels

on a side note, since we're talking about numbers here, i got chased by something like 18 dogs yesterday on my ride after work. 12 came from 1 yard. 12! seriously!

bracketology 2009

I'm looking to improve on my poor performance from last year. What I remember from last year was that Kansas finally decided not to choke, and Christie won with her high seeds strategy.

We'll see how it all shakes out this year.
